Need Help Tuning In?

How do I listen to PirateStation.Net
Click one of the links above if you have a media player already installed. If you have a windows system clicking on the button below the windows media logo is a safe bet that it will work immediately without the need to install another media player. However, I would recommend Winamp.

For best play back we recommend the ROCK preset EQ Setting for Windows Media Player. This is usually the standard settings when Windows Media Player is executed. Users of Winamp we recommend that the EQ is disabled completely. There is plenty of treble and bass in the stream.  And sounds way better than using any preset!

We currently only have two high bandwidth stream available for PirateStation.Net a 96k and a 128k line.

You will need to download a media player if you do not already have one installed on your computer. The media player receives our digital stream much like your car's stereo system receives an AM/FM signal. Based on your internet connection speed you will need to choose a high or low stream. The high stream is 128kbps so you will need a fast internet connection here. For dial-up users use the 32k stream.

What is MP3PRO?
Mp3pro is a compression coding technique to improve sound quality at lower bit rate. In other words Near CD-Quality on low bandwidth I.E. 32k. as opposed to mono. To experience MP3PRO, use Winamp or a dedicated player that will support MP3PRO. Download this MP3PRO Plug in for Winamp and install it. WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER WILL NOT SUPPORT MP3PRO!

Broadband (HIGH) Users:
Select and download your favorite media player or use Windows Media Player which should be pre-installed on your computer.  Once installed, click the "Broadband" link below the media player of your choice above and music will begin playing.

Embedded Player:
On some computers firewalls will prevent a user from accessing the normal way of listening to a stream. The embedded player will bypass all of that. 99.9% of the time it will work fine. NO PLAYER IS NEEDED! Click and listen. Only Broadband users can listen to the embedded player.

Troubleshooting

Question:
When I click on the Windows Media link in XP it prompts me to "save" or "cancel". What am I suppose to do?

Answer:
Save the file to your desktop and then click Open, this will launch the stream and you now have a quick shortcut on your desktop to launch the stream.

Question:
I clicked on the link but nothing is playing?

Answer:
Well this could be a tricky one. On occasion our stream may be down or certain relays may be down. If you try all of the available servers you should be able to find one that will work for you. If you are still having trouble send us a feedback from the main menu link.

Question:

I clicked on the Winamp / Windows Media Player links but another player opened.

Answer:

Yes, if you have another player installed that plays .pls files then this will happen until the file association on your PC has been changed. Generally this happens if the other player was recently installed, that is after what player was originally used before a new player was installed.
